Hummingbird Feeder with Camera, Solar Powered, AI Species ID, No Subscription — Perchmont
Hummingbird Feeder with Camera, Solar Powered, AI Species ID, No Subscription — Perchmont
Hummingbirds move too fast to appreciate with the naked eye. This hummingbird feeder with camera uses a dedicated macro lens to capture them hovering, feeding, and defending their territory — in detail you'd otherwise never see.
AI species identification tells you which hummingbirds are visiting. The built-in ant moat keeps the nectar clean, and the solar-assisted battery keeps the camera running through the season.
What's included: hummingbird camera feeder with macro lens, ant moat, solar-assisted battery, mounting hardware, free Perchmont app. No monthly fees.
Pairs naturally with our dye-free nectar concentrate.

Nectar and cleaning
Nectar and cleaning
One part white sugar to four parts water. No red dye, no honey, no brown sugar.
Change the nectar every four to five days in cool weather, every two days around 80°F, and daily above 90°F. Rinse with hot water and a bottle brush at every refill, paying attention to the feeding ports.
Fill less than you think you need — a third-full feeder changed often beats a full one you feel obliged to use up.
Ants, bees and wasps
Ants, bees and wasps
The built-in ant moat holds water above the feeder and stops ants entirely, without insecticide. Keep it topped up.
For bees and wasps, make sure nothing is leaking — a dripping feeder attracts insects far more than an intact one.

Setup and compatibility
Setup and compatibility
Connects to 2.4GHz WiFi. Most cameras do not support 5GHz, so check what your router broadcasts before ordering.
Put it out two weeks before hummingbirds are expected in your area, so it is waiting when they arrive.

Why a macro lens
Two seconds, eight inches away
A standard feeder camera is built for cardinals and jays — birds that land, sit, and stay a while. A hummingbird does none of that. It hovers close for a moment and leaves.
The macro lens is focused for exactly that distance, so you get the throat colour, the wing blur and the eye in focus instead of a green smear.
Dye-free
The feeder is red. The nectar does not need to be.
Hummingbirds are drawn to the colour red, which is why feeders are made red — the plastic does the job. There is no nutritional case for dye, and a hummingbird drinks roughly its own body weight in nectar every day.
Sugar and water. Nothing else.
Species ID
Which hummingbird is that
Most people can name one hummingbird species. Automatic identification tells you what is actually visiting — and in migration season, what is passing through.
Included, with no monthly fee.
